Wedding in Casa del Rio in Benahavis.
Hannah and Mark got married in one of my favourite, if not the most favourite, wedding venues in Benahavis – Casa del Rio. It is a picture perfect finca nestled in a valley among wonderful woodlands and rolling hills. This small and intimate wedding was organised to perfection by Rachel Rose Weddings who transformed this villa into a whimsical dream combining rustic with elegance. I always get very excited to photograph at Casa del Rio, so, obviously, I was super happy to be chosen to be Hannah and Mark’s photographer! And they were a dream couple to work with. Not only beautiful inside and out but also super relaxed, warm and easy going!
The day began with the preparations of the bride and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite where Kirsten worked her magic doing the girls’ make ups. They all look stunning but Hannah was definitely the show stopper once she put her dress on! It was out of this world! Delicate and romantic, just perfect.
The ceremony took place in the church of Benahavis after which we took off to take Hannah and Mark’s portraits. We were lucky to be able to get access to Tramores estate, just a few minutes away from Casa del Rio, with its spectacular views and amazing gardens. There were so many pretty places to choose from to take their portraits and they could also, for the first time that day, enjoy some privacy.
While we were taking photos, the wedding guests arrived to the finca and after having some scrumptious canapés prepared by Sana Catering they were sat down by long white tables decorated with eucalyptus branches and colourful peonies and roses. Emotional speeches, laughter, and happy tears were all witnessed as everyone was enjoying their dinner.
As the sun began to set candles and thousands of tiny fairytales were lit all over the garden creating a fairytale like setting. The happy couple invited all the guests to witness the symbolic cutting of their wedding cake and the party begun!
I loved being the part of this amazing wedding, meeting yet another fabulous couple and preserving memories that will last a lifetime!
